21 Things to Do and Places to Visit in 2021

As 2020 finally comes to a close it’s time to look ahead to 2021. With vaccines being administered daily, we can finally look ahead and see the light at the end of the tunnel. Many of us are tired of being cooped up in the house and are looking forward to new adventures in 2021. Here are 21 things to do and places to visit this new year.

1.     Take a cross country road trip, start at the “Edge of America” (Folly Beach) and drive coast to coast.

2.     Have a beer at every brewery in Charleston (check out a full list here: https://charlestonaletrail.com/breweries.php).

3.     Surf 221 days in 2021. This equates to about four days a week.

4.     Plan a watch party to watch surfing make its debut at the 2020 (2021) Tokyo Olympics.

5.     Take a surf trip to Playa Guasacate, Nicaragua and stay at the famous Popoyo Surf Lodge.

6.     Plan a surfing staycation on Folly Beach.

7.     Read one new book a month.

8.     Volunteer or donate to a charity once a month (we are impartial to Warrior Surf Foundation).

9.     Sign up for Masterclass and learn a new skill

10.   Start in Key West and drive all the way up the coast to Maine.

11.  Go deep sea fishing off the coast and catch your dinner.

12.  Dine out (or grab take out) from one local restaurant a week (2020 was hard on our local restaurants).

14.  Try a new workout or gym. If you are typically a HIIT person, try pilates, if you are typically a weightlifter, give a yoga class a try.

15.  Enjoy a happy hour cruise on the Palmetto Breeze.

16.  Visit Epcot at Disney World and drink around the world.

17.  Join a new club or organization and meet new people.

18.  Reduce “screen time” by setting a “screen time” limit and sticking to it.

19.  Snag a picture with Charleston legend, Bill Murray.

20.  Hike the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky

21.  Take surf lessons to better your surfing skills.
